Alicia Keys - Pray for Forgiveness (2009)
Let's face it, not one of us on this earth is perfect. One of the hardest things I've found is not asking God for forgiveness, but asking myself for forgiveness. Single Ladies, don't think I'm crazy here. I mean really taking a hard deep look in the mirror to ask and reflect on the meaning of sincerely forgiving myself.
Forgiving yourself is no easy task especially when that process requires seeking forgiveness from another person. It's easy to say the guilt of not being honest with a loved one will not weigh on you. However, we know all too well that in the act of requesting forgiveness either from yourself or from someone else you find your peace, your comfort, your justice not to mention and probably most importantly your healing.
Speaking of which I think it's time to take a long hard look in the mirror, call my loved one and ask for forgiveness. If you find yourself racking your brain with this battle of forgiveness, I encourage you to do the same.
“If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
John 20:23 NKJV
